The funeral of Daniel McCARTHY, Pond St., took place this afternoon, interment being in the Old Catholic Cemetery after the usual service was held at the Cathedral. The pall bearers were Jas. COLL, R. McCARTHY, A. LEETCH, John STANTON, R. McKEAN and F. DRISCOLL. Mr. McCarthy was at one time active in the militia and was Sgt. Major of Capt. McDonough's company. For several years he was in the I.C.R. employ.
