Fredericton, 9 Oct. - John BRANNEN, a soldier of the 22nd Regt., was killed last eve. about 8 o'clock by blows from some blunt instrument which fractured his skull in four places. From evidence at the Inquest today it appears that BRANNEN was walkin with Elizabeth DRISCOLL when they met her brother John DRISCOLL and her father's man, SHAUGHNESSY, who spoke to her... The Jury found a verdict of Wilful Murder against DRISCOLL and SHAUGHNESSY... The DRISCOLLs are daughter and son of Timothy DRISCOLL, butcher of this place (see original)
