The young woman whose body was found in the Mill Pond (St. John) a couple of weeks since with the head fractured was supposed to be a person from the old country who had been in St. John only a short time and boarded with Mrs. DRISCOLL. On the night of the death she had been standing by the stove in the house where she boarded and burnt a hole in her dress. She went out in the course of the evening and up to this moment has never returned notwithstanding she left a trunk filled with clothing. It is our belief that she met with foul play, was thrown over the bridge and the body lately recovered is the same person.
