This photo, dating from the 1920s, shows the Shippagan refrigerated warehouse, built in 1916 by A & R Loggie Co. The warehouse is used to preserve fish longer, which had previously been very hard to do. Freezing extends the preservation time for fish, which usually cannot be stored for long.
