Reference number: P93-G-9

Place : Allardville
Date : 1936

In March 1933, the settlers in Allardville got together and decided to build the first church in the area. The next month, they began building this log wooden chapel and completed the job one and a half years later, on October 28, 1934. The church opened that same day. Fr. Allard was Allardville's first parish priest. This is a photo of Allardville's first church back in 1936.
