Located on the New Brunswick and Nova Scotia border, 7.45 km ESE of Sackville: Westmorland Parish, Westmorland County: formerly
called Westmorland Point, it was the shire town until 1803: PO 1853-1919: in 1866 Westmorland Point was a farming community
with approximately 52 resident families, including 10 Lowerison families: in 1871 Westmorland Point had a population of 100:
in 1871 it was also called Coles Island and had a population of 60: in 1898 Westmorland Point had 1 post office, 1 store and a
population of 100: PO Aulac 1869-1875 and 1919-1958: included Aulac Station.
