Located 4.52 km NW of Joliffs Brook and 5.37 km NE of Stewarton: Springfield Parish, Kings County: settled in 1823 by settlers from the region of Perth in Scotland: PO 1867-1915: in 1866 East Scotch Settlement was a farming community with about 22 families: in 1871 it had a population of 100: in 1898 East Scotch Settlement had 1 post office, 1 church and a population of 60.
