Located 4.53 km SE of Westfield: Westfield Parish, Kings County: William Francis Ganong identified the Maliseet name for Grand Bay as Pekweetaypaykek: PO from 1869: in 1871 Grand Bay was a station on the European and North American Railway and had a population of 100: in 1898 Grand Bay was a flag station on the Canadian Pacific Railway and a farming community with 1 post office and a population of 75: Grand Bay was incorporated as a village in 1972 and included Pamdenec, Epworth Park and Ingleside: Grand Bay later became a town and amalgamated with the town of Westfield in 1998 to form Grand Bay-Westfield.
