Salisbury Parish,
Westmorland County: named for Amos Hicks who settled here about 1840: included the community of Mansfield: also included Head of Ridge: PO 1865-c1885: in 1866 Head of Ridge was a farming settlement with approximately 52 resident families, including 11 Alward families: in 1871 it had a population of 175: PO
Hicksville 1896-1913: in 1904 Hicksville was a farming settlement with 1 post office and a population of 100.
