Located on Goldsmiths Stream, 5.71 km SSW of Waweig: Saint Croix Parish, Charlotte County: named for Leonard Bartlett (1779-1854) from Alma, Maine who built a dam, carding mill, sawmill, grist mill and a lumber finishing mill in 1808: PO 1877-1915 was located at the mill with Jesse Bartlett as the first postmaster: in 1898 Bartletts Mills was a station on the Canadian Pacific Railway and a farming settlement with 1 post office, 1 store, 2 sawmills, 1 grist mill, 1 church and a population of 150.
