Located on N side of the Southwest Miramichi River, 3.92 km NNE of Millerton: Derby Parish, Northumberland County: PO 1887-1957: in 1898 Lower Derby was a siding on the Indiantown Branch of the Intercolonial Railway and a farming and fishing settlement with 1 store, 1 church and a population of 100: the railway station located here was called Amos.
