Description
Northumberland County: established in 1814: named for Gabriel George Ludlow (1736-1808), first mayor of Saint John and Colonial Administrator of New Brunswick in 1803; and George Duncan Ludlow (1734-1808), first chief justice of New Brunswick from 1784-1808: included Blissfield Parish and Blackville Parish until 1830 and most of Huskisson Parish and Harcourt Parish, Kent County, until 1826.
