Located 2.23 km SW of Haut-Caraquet: Caraquet Parish, Gloucester County: PO from 1892: in 1898 Bertrand was a farming community with a population of 150: included the settlement of Thériault: PO 1900-1970 with Amos Thériault as first postmaster: in 1904 Thériault was a farming and lumbering community with a population of 75: Bertrand was incorporated as a village in 1968.
