Description
Victoria County: created in 1833 from Kent Parish as part of Carleton County: named for the city of Perth in Scotland which was the birthplace of Sir Archibald Campbell (1769-1843), lieutenant-governor of New Brunswick from 1831-1837: included Gordon Parish until 1863.
