Located 9.36 km N of Edmundston, on the road to Rang-des-Bossé: Saint-Jacques Parish and Saint-Joseph Parish, Madawaska County: in 1866 Plourde Settlement was a farming community with 20 resident families including the families of Charles Plourde, Ignace Plourde, Peter Plourde, Lefroy Plourde and William Plourde: PO 1896-1969: in 1898 Plourde Settlement, known then as Plourd, was located on the Témiscouata Railway with 1 post office, 1 sawmill, 1 grist mill and a population of 200: Plourd became part of Moulin-Morneault.
