Located on Washademoak Lake, 7.42 km S of Cambridge-Narrows: Wickham Parish, Queens County: PO 1864-1919: in 1866 Big Cove was a farming settlement with about 45 families: in 1871 Big Cove and the surrounding district had a population of 300: in 1898 Big Cove had 1 post office and a population of 100: included Longs Cove: also included Lewis Cove (Lewis Settlement or Lewistown).
