Located 11.86 km WNW of Tracadie, on the road to Boishébert: Saint-Isidore Parish, Gloucester County: established in 1867: named for the patron saint of farmers: PO from 1878: received additional settlers following the adoption of the Free Grants Act in 1879: in 1898 Saint-Isidore was a flag station on the Caraquet and Gulf Shore Railway and a large farming community with 1 church and a population of 350: Saint-Isidore was incorporated as a village in 1966.
