Located 4.29 km WSW of Keswick Ridge, on the road to Springfield: Bright Parish, York County: PO Mactaquack 1848-1903: in 1866 Scotch Settlement or Mactaquack was a farming community at the mouth of the Mactaquac River with about 47 families: in 1904 it had 1 post office, 1 church and a population of 100: included the community of Christies: PO Christies 1903-1915 with George P. Christie as the first postmaster: included Palmer Settlement.
