Located 2.27 km SW of Digdeguash: Saint Patrick Parish, Charlotte County: PO 1853-1918: William Francis Ganong identified the Passamaquoddy name for Bocabec as Pokabesk': in 1866 Bocabec was a farming community with about 86 families: included Grove Settlement which in 1866 was a farming community with 4 families: in 1871 Bocabec had a population of about 240: in 1898 Bocabec had 1 post office, 1 store, 3 churches and a population of 500.
