Located 11.84 km WSW of Saint John: Lancaster Parish, St.John County: PO 1854-1911: in 1866 Spruce Lake was a farming and lumbering community with 9 families: in 1871 it had a population of 100: in 1898 Spruce Lake was located on the Shore Line Railway and had 1 post office and a population of 150: included PO Spruce Lake Station 1885-1903: Spruce Lake is now within Saint John.
