Located at the mouth of Bains Brook, 3.71 km S of Bains Corner: Simonds Parish, St. John County: modified locally to Ten Mile Creek: PO Ten Mile Creek 1850-1943: in 1866 Ten Mile Creek was a fishing, lumbering and shipbuilding community with approximately 18 resident families: Richard Lowell and John S. Parker were shipbuilders here: in 1871 it had a population of about 150: in 1898 Tynemouth Creek had 1 post office, 1 store, 1 sawmill, 1 church and a population of 80.
