Located near Upsalquitch River, 6.21 km SE of Robinsonville: Eldon Parish, Restigouche County: William Francis Ganong identified the Mi'kmaq name for Upsalquitch River as Apsetquetch or Small River:: PO 1852-1876 and 1912-1970: in 1866 Upsalquitch was a farming and lumbering settlement with about 2 families: in 1871 it had a population of 100: in 1898 Upsalquitch had 1 church and a population of 90.
