Maliseet village located at Springhill, near Fredericton: Kingsclear Parish, York County: often referred to as the “principal village of the Maliseets”: the name Aucpaque is Maliseet for "head of tide" as the head of tide on the St. John river is a short distance upriver: occupied until the mid-eighteenth century.
