Located 3.85 km E of Dupuis Corner: Botsford Parish and Shediac Parish, Westmorland County: PO Cape Bald 1880-1903 and 1905-1947: in 1866 Cap-Pelé was a farming and fishing settlement with approximately 47 resident families including 8 Cormier families: in 1871 Cap-Pelé had a population of 300: in 1898 it had 1 post office, 4 stores, 1 hotel, 9 lobster factories, 1 church and a population of 300: included the settlement of Tedish: PO Cap Pelé 1903-1905: PO Cap-Pelé from 1947: Cap-Pelé was incorporated as a village in 1969.
