Located 4.52 km SW of Highfield and 4.3 km ESE of Salmon Creek, on the Johnston Parish and Springfield Parish boundary: Johnston Parish, Queens County: first called Boyds Settlement or Boydsdale: in 1866 Boyds Settlement or Boydsdale was a farming community with about 15 families including the families of Hugh Boyd, John Boyd and William Boyd: renamed Annidale in 1879: PO Annidale 1879-1947: in 1898 Annidale was a station on the Central Railway with 1 post office and a population of 35.
