Margaret Medley standing outside Christ Church Cathedral, Fredericton, N.B. – [September 1892]. – 1 photograph : b&w ; 17.5 x 12.5 cm. Photographer unknown. Mrs. Medley is wearing mourning dress, which suggests that this photo was taken the day of her husband’s funeral. Born in England, Margaret Hudson Medley (1821-1905) married Bishop John Medley on Campobello Island, New Brunswick, on 16 June 1863. It was the Bishop’s second marriage, his first wife, Christiana Bacon, having died prior to his arrival in Fredericton in the mid-1840s. P349-1 Diocese of Fredericton photographs, PANB.
