The English Cathedral, Fredericton, N.B. – 1863. – 1 photograph : b&w ; 25.5 x 22 cm. Photographer unknown. Christ Church Cathedral in winter from Brunswick Street looking northeast. Begun in August 1845, the cathedral was designed by Frank Wills, a young architect from Exeter, England, and modelled after St. Mary’s, Snettisham, Norfolk, a Gothic church. Bishop John Medley, the first Bishop of Fredericton, consecrated Christ Church Cathedral on 31 August 1853. P363-673 Ted Atkinson Harvey Studios photographs, PANB.
