Copy of letter from Benjamin R. Stevenson, surveyor general, Fredericton, N.B., to Alex Paterson, Kintore, Victoria County, N.B. – 23 February 1876. – 1 p. of textual records. Stevenson sets out the terms on which immigrants can come to New Brunswick and the cost of passage aboard an Allan Line steamship. He states that once Mr. Paterson’s friends arrive in New Brunswick “the best the Government can do for them will be to give them the full benefit of the Free Grants Act 1872 and any amendments thereof”.
