The census records are indexed by the year of the census, (1851 or 1861) and then alphabetically by surname. After selecting either the 1851 or 1861 census and choosing a surname , records will be displayed in a table sorted by given name with details transcribed from the census including Year Landed, Age, Religion, Place (where in NB they resided), County (in NB), and From. Should you wish the records displayed can then be sorted under any of the column headings. To sort the table by another column click the column header.
