WASS, WILLIAM (1850-1916)

WASS, WILLIAM, Methodist minister, Boiestown circuit, 1889-92; b. Colchester, Essex Co., England, c1849, s/o William Wass and Mary Ann Brown; m. 1882, Frances M. Wilson, of Richmond, Carleton Co., N.B.; d. Norfolk Co., England, 7 Aug 1916.

William Wass was received into the Methodist ministry on trial in 1876 and pursued his calling in rural settings in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. He came to Boiestown from the Island in 1889, and when he left in 1892, he went to Welsford, N.B. He was later stationed at Keswick and Sheffield.

Wass and his wife"Fannie" had three children when the 1891 census was taken. The family moved to England around 1912, when he retired from the ministry.
