Abstract "Late of the City of London," Merchant. St. John County records. Intestate. On 29 March 1817 the next of kin of "Belcher BOYLES" were cited to appear and show cause why administration of the estate should not be granted to William SCOVIL Esq. of Saint John. Administration granted 11 April 1817 to William SCOVIL Esq. Fellow bondsmen Daniel SCOVIL and Walker TISDALE, merchants, all of City of Saint John. Accounting of estate included the deceased's share of "the moveable property of his Father, the late Dr. BYLES of this place" valued at £74.
