Abstract Parish of St. George, Charlotte County. Will dated 16 July 1816, proved 19 August 1816. Sons, un-named, all land I possess, withholding 82 acres from Patrick CLINCH's share, and £200 in raising mortgage held by Mr. PAGAN. Maria SEELYE £30. Sarah REED, Catharine CLINCH, Amy CLINCH balance of money. Gordon GILCHRIST and Patrick CLINCH executors. Witnesses: Jonathan WALLACE, James MEALY, Samuel WALLACE. CODICIL undated, revokes withhold of 82 acres from Patrick; limits Sarah REED to £50; adds £100 to pay mortgage; bequeaths to Charles REED a little field behind his Father's house, my intervale on east side of the river, and 20 acres of woodland "such as Patrick and Peter CLINCH shall point out." Witnessed by Hannah WALLACE, Rufus CLINCH, John CLINCH. CODICIL undated, Upon recollection I think that Catharine and Amy CLINCH have too much money left to them in proportion to the rest of the family, directs that £100 be deducted from each of them and divided among Patrick, Peter, Rufus, John and Sarah. Bequeaths £5 each to Paul BAMPTON and James TROAK Senior for old acquaintance sake. Witnesses by Sarah REED, Rufus CLINCH, Catharine CLINCH. Moses SHAW, Henry SEELY and Jonathan WALLACE, all of St. George, directed to appraise the estate. Inventory, filed 28 November 1821, valued at £787.
