Abstract Parish of Hampton, Kings County. Will dated 10 September 1818, proved 26 January 1819. Nephew Daniel GOLDING part of the Kingsley lot, half of Lot 30 originally granted to Thompson and Reed and purchased by me from John PUGSLEY, and my right and title to Lot 16 belonging to my brother Zenas GOLDING at the time of his death. My natural son Daniel GOLDING, born of Mary SMITH, all the remainder of the Pugsley purchase excepting the strip of intervale from Mr. Fowler's fence to the brook on the other side of the river and excepting the Island Intervale before the house. My natural son Robert GOLDING, born of Eleanor MYERS the north half of the Island Intervale. My natural son Zenas GOLDING, born of Mary SMITH, the south half of the Island Intervale and the south half of the west projection of the Kingsley grant. My natural daughter Susan, born of Mary SMITH, land adjoining that given to nephew Daniel GOLDING and the strip of intervale from Fowler's fence previously described. My natural son William GOLDING "some time called Nathaniel WILLIAMS," son of Lydia CLARKE, half of the remainder of the south projection of the Kingsley grant and Lot 14 purchased by me from Samuel STORMS. My natural son James, born of Mary SMITH, the remaining part of the south projection of the Kingsley grant and Lot 15, granted to Thomas McMAIR(sic) and purchased by me of William THOMAS. My natural daughter Amy, born of Eleanor MYERS, the residue of Lots 22 and 23 granted to me, 200 acres off the east side of Lot 22 I sold to Robert STRANG. Daughter Jane, born of Eleanor MYERS, the western part of the west projection of the Kingsley grant. Whereas Eleanor MYERS is now pregnant, the child to be decently provided for, having a comparitive view to my other bequests to the other children. Residue of estate to be sold and the proceeds put at interest for the support of my children and divided among them, each boy two shares at age 21 and each girl one share at the same age. Wife Sarah all household furniture, four cows, the pigs and poultry, one horse and such farming utensils as she may require to carry on the farm. Wife Sarah appointed guardian of children Daniel and Susan. Executors to be guardians of the other children and they to be left with their present mothers whilst the said Children are, in the Opinion of my said Executors, properly and kindly treated and taken care of and the said Mothers respectively during their remaining Single and Conducting themselves with propriety and taking prudent care of the said Children shall respectively be allowed to Occupy the Houses . . . . . now occupied, with the pigs and poultry now in their possession and the new Barn to be Occupied equally between. Friends Henry GARDNER, Ebenezer SMITH and William RULOFSON executors. Witnesses: Robert STRANG, Peter EASON, Charles I. PETERS. An inventory, dated at St. John County 21 February 1819, by George HARDING, James O. BETTS and Lewis HOYT, listed only three half lots in King Street with the buildings at £1,350, and two lots fronting on Union Street at £200. Another inventory, dated 3 February 1819, by Capt. John FORD, William MUNGER and Samuel KETCHUM, listed livestock to the value of £210, goods in the possession of Mary SMITH £33, goods in the possession of Elner(sic) [MYERS] £16 and goods belonging to Mr. GOLDING by the Will of the Late Nathaniel GOLDING at £143. Ebenezer SMITH was still administering the estate in 1844 and the file contains detailed accountings beyond the scope of this work. Another file contains accounting by Henry GARDNER, late of the City of Saint John, and William RULOFSON, as well as Ebenezer SMITH, in their capacity as executors of the estate.
