Abstract City of Saint John, St. John County, Merchant. Will dated 26 March 1818, proved 4 August 1823. Wife Sarah half of all personal and real estate and the use of dwelling and furniture for life. Nephews and nieces James GRIGOR, William GRIGOR, John GRIGOR, Elizabeth GRIGOR, and Sarah GRIGOR, each one-sixth part of the other half of my estate, and one-sixth part to Polly and Mercy WHITNEY to be divided between them. Wife Sally(sic), William SCOVIL and Harry PETERS executors. Witnesses: W. B. KINNEAR, William SIMPSON, Charles J. PETERS. CODICIL dated 2 March 1819 bequeathed to wife one half of the garden now occupied by me "During her life & Residence in the Country." Further stipulates that the Estate that Sarah GRIGOR owns in the United States shall not be brought into my estate but that it is to be at her own disposal. Witnesses: John MELICK, James WHITNEY, John BURNS.
