Nephew William DAYTON all monies bequeathed by my late husband Daniel JAMES to me jointly with John ESSINGTON. Catharine DAYTON sole Executrix. Witnesses: Garret CLOPPER, Ann WATTS, William WATTS. CODICIL holographic, dated 13 June 1817 bequeaths bed to niece Mary Ann GILL, books and "my optic glasses" to Catharine GAYNOR daughter of my brother James GAYNOR, mentions sister Ruth. An addition, dated 23 February 1823, mentions "my Sister DAYTON," nieces Mary Ann GILL, Catharine D. GILL daughters of my sister, and Ann GAYNOR daughter of my brother, and nephew Joseph GAYNOR.
