Abstract Carleton, City of Saint John, St. John County, Mariner. Will dated 10 September 1809, proved and registered 13 February 1811. Wife Hepsibeth a full and sufficient living for her and the children under age to bring them up in a decent manner; house and Lot 58 during her lifetime. Oldest daughter Elizabeth 10 shillings to be paid when called for. Daughter Charlotte 10 shillings when called for. Youngest son George one-half of the house and Lot 58 at the death of wife, or when he of age, the other half to son Thomas in the same manner. Son George six lots in Carleton, the Estate of Christopher VAUGHAN, on Prince Street, Lots 60, 61, and 62; and on Water Street, Lots 51, 52, and 53; also a water lot fronting Water Street, Lot 601; a "ten acker lott" freehold from William TULLY and likewise a fishing lott number 15 purchased of William TULLY; also two lots, one on King Street, Lot 159, the other on Duke Street, Lot 170, all in Carleton. Son Thomas four lots, two on Prince Street and the others on Water Street, being Lots 63, 64, 49, and 50. Son Henry Lots 65 and 48 adjoining the aforesaid lots. Son William two other lots adjoining the last mentioned, Lots 66 and 48(?) [probably 47 intended]. Son James two lots adjoining the last mentioned, Lots 67 and 46. Son John 10 shillings when called for. Whole of my property on the Mirimachi jointly to seven of my sons, George, Thomas, Henry, William, James, Francis and Daniel, none to demand or have any part until the youngest comes of age and the decease of my wife.
