Administration granted 1 December 1818 to Thomas MILLIDGE, merchant, a creditor, Hugh McDONALD, Father of John McDONALD, deceased, having renounced in his favour on 8 June 1818. Fellow bondsmen William HODGE and Richard LAWRENCE, merchants, all of City of Saint John. Record Book C, page 73, records the grant of administration of the estate of "Hugh" McDONALD, but "Hugh" crossed out and replaced by "John" and the deceased is thereafter referred to as "John McDONALD."
