On 2 February 1829 the widow, Phebe MURPHY, requested that administration be granted to William HALLETT by her consent and the consent of his oldest brother James MURPHY. Mentions all the brothers, states that brothers George MURPHY and Oliver MURPHY have threatened to "taken my children away from me" and expresses the hope that "you will not grant the letters of Administration to those Caracters." Administration granted 19 March 1829 to Phebe MURPHY and William HALLETT of Kent. Fellow bondsmen Jonathan GREEN of Kent and Peter FISHER of Fredericton.
