Abstract Parish of Kingston, Kings County. Will dated 13 April 1824, proved 7 March 1827. Son Gould PICKETT Lot 11 in Kingston, reserving 100 acres of land which I give to my son and daughter Abraham Munson PICKETT and Hannah WHITING to be divided between them. Son David PICKETT the privilege of keeping a sawmill where it now stands or did stand with log and a lumber yard, he not to dispose to any person except his brother Gould PICKETT or his liberty. Son Peter PICKETT that three cornered lot of land adjoining Hezekiah HOYT's land containing one acre. Son John Lewis PICKETT 50 acres of land adjoining his own land in the Parish of Springfield. Son Peter PICKETT 200 acres of land adjoining John Lewis PICKETT's. Daughter Sarah SMITH 50 acres of land adjoining the land given to Peter PICKETT. Son David PICKETT my farm where I now live with all stock and utensils, he to pay my daughter Hannah WHITING £70 and daughter Sarah SMITH £10 and she to have a room in my dwelling house during her life. Wife Sarah PICKETT one third of all real and personal estate and all household furniture. Son Gould PICKETT my walking staff. Son David PICKETT my clock. Daughter Hannah WHITING the note I hold against William WHITING. Daughter Sarah SMITH my watch. Wife Sarah PICKETT, Gould PICKETT, John Lewis PICKETT, David PICKETT, Peter PICKETT, Abraham Munson PICKETT, Hannah WHITING and Sarah SMITH all my books, David to have my large Bible and Prayer Book. Son David PICKETT my blacksmith tools. Son Abraham Munson PICKETT and daughter Hannah WHITING my weaving tools. Son Gould PICKETT "my Read making Tools." "As to my sister [Marcey] VIET's Firniture that remains on hand" be equally divided among all my children, keeping those silver Spoons and Bible that she intended Stephen PICKETT should have, Gould PICKETT to have her Ink Stand and David PICKETT to have her Case of Pen kives(sic). My property in St. Stephen, Charlotte County, to be sold and the proceeds to Peter PICKETT, he paying the debt due the heirs of the late John WATERBURY. If son Peter PICKETT should die before his wife Lavinia PICKETT, she to have one third of half the interest of my property at St. Stephen during her life as Peter PICKETT did not own but half of the Property at St. Stephen and Mr. (Daniel?) SCOVIL the other half. Wife Sarah PICKETT, son John Lewis PICKETT and son David PICKETT executors. Witnesses: Silas RAYMOND, George RAYMOND, Eleanor RAYMOND. Inventory, dated 27 May 1827, valued at £2,280 by D. B. WETMORE and Samuel HOYT.
