Abstract Parish of Westmorland, Westmorland County. Will dated 2 May 1818, proved 5 July 1819. Wife Margaret all furniture and choice of two rooms in my house, a horse, two cows and use of 65 acres of marsh purchased from Governor DesBARRES until son James is age 21. Son Otho REED £5 as I have given him a property before at Bay Verte. Son Jesse REED the saw mill and mill seat and four acres of marsh inside William JONES' Dyke, all in the Township of Botsford. Daughter Ann PATTISON my share of a 200 acre lot granted to myself, William REED and Joshua REED on Beach Hill in Sackville and £5 in country produce. Daughter Eunice TOWNSED 250 acres of land, being my half of Lot 2 in Botsford, commonly called Rusty Cove head. Son William REED the land he now occupies between the Lakes. Son Peter REED all the homestead Lots 14 and 15, 100 acres of woodland, etc., he to pay £30 annually to my wife Margaret REED during her life and £40 annually to my executors until my son James REED reach age 21. If the said £40 are not wanted to pay my debts and legacies, it shall be laid out for the benefit of my sons Thomas REED, David REED and James REED. Son George REED 100 acres of land, being Lot 14, and 40 acres adjoining, being a part of lots 2 and 3, and 15 acres of marsh being part of my grant of the New Marsh in Sackville near the town line. Daughters Mary REED, Elizabeth REED and Scynthia REED each £50 in country produce three years after my decease. Sons Thomas REED, David REED and James REED the residue of estate. Wife Margaret REED, son Otho REED, James H. HEWSON Esq. and Harman TRUEMAN, all of Westmorland, executors. Witnesses: Earle OULTON, Rufus SMITH, George OULTON.
