Abstract Parish of Sussex, Kings County, Farmer. Will dated 19 October 1808, proved 10 January 1809. Oldest son James 5 shillings. Daughter Mary 5 shillings. Daughter Betsey "Give [Ewes] the Wool & Flax." Son Henry a cow and a heifer. "With regard to my Landed property, it is My Will that a Grant be Got and the Farm put out to the Best Advantage by My Executors and the two Youngest Children Jacob and Kezia to be Maintained out of the profits until they are of age to be put out in some Creditable Familys;" if executors see fit to sell the farm, proceeds to be divided among four youngest children when they come of age. Friends Ebenezer SPICER, Peter PERLEE Junr. and George PITFIELD Esq. executors. Witnesses: John LECK, Sarah LECK, Robert CARLISLE Junr. Inventory, dated 4 December 1808, valued at £58 by Cornelius PERLEE and John LEAK. (The signatures of "John LECK" on the will and "John LEAK" on the inventory appear to be written by different individuals.)
