Son William WHITLOCK lot of land, 950 acres, lying above Saint Anns, husband bought of Capt. Thomas HUNLOCK. Daughter Ann SANDS my wearing apparel, bed & furniture and the "parler chears." Grand-daughter Elisabeth WHITLOCK the dining table. Grand-daughter Ann WHITLOCK my watch. Rest of household furniture to be divided among grand-children. Grandson Thomas WHITLOCK the family pictures; his grandfather's "chest & close"; land purchased by husband by deed dated 2 March 1787 from Miles URION and Cathrton(sic) his wife and Job TOWNSEND; and a lot in Saint John bought of Charles THEALL, "his father to have the ceare of them til he come of age." (A legacy of £20 to Sarah JAMES was deleted and a notation made that it had been discharged, the notation witnessed by Thomas HORSFIELD.) Son William WHITLOCK to have the charge of all my shop goods. Thomas HORSFIELD, William WHITLOCK and Ann SANDS executors. Witnesses: Thomas HORSFIELD, Lewis DEBLOIS Junr., Richard LONGMUIR. CODICIL dated 5 May 1801 adds a bequest of £50 to grandson William WHITLOCK, to be put at interest until he comes of age; household items to grand-daughter Elizabeth WHITLOCK; mentions grand-daughter Ann WHITLOCK, daughter Ann SANDS, grandson Thomas WHITLOCK. Witnesses: Lewis DEBLOIS, Richard LONGMUIR. CODICIL dated 4 May 1810 as my grandson William WHITLOCK was not in being when I wroght my will, provides same bequests as the 1801 Codicil. Witnesses: Elisabeth TILTON, Mary GREEN, Sally GREEN. File contains a second holographic will, also dated 7 August 1798, essentially a duplicate of the above, but witnessed by Elisabeth TILTON, Marry(sic) GREEN, Sally GREEN.
