Administration had been previously granted on 23 March 1824 to the widow Margaret McLAUCHLAN, Angus McKENZIE and Paul PRINCE. According to a notice in the New Brunswick Royal Gazette, Mrs. McLAUGHLAN died 31 March.
Inventory, dated 1 May 1824, valued the estate at £216 9s., including "The Schooner [unnamed] with all her running rigging, standing rigging," etc., at £175. A listing of items sold at Saint John on 26 April 1825 by John COX covers various items of household furniture, generating a total of £12 16s. and included "1 Maiden 2 shillings." A brief statement of account filed 29 June 1825 commences with a June 1824 entry and continues with the sale of the schooner "Good Intent" for £90.
