Abstract City of Saint John, St. John County, Esquire. Intestate. Administration granted 31 May 1825 to the widow Betsey BREMNER. Fellow bondsmen Robert PARKER Esq. and James WHITE Esq., all of the City of Saint John. A petition by Eunice YOUNGHUSBAND, spinster, City of Saint John, filed on 16 April 1825, stated that James C. F. BREMNER died at Saint John on 25 February (petition of Betsey BREMNER states date of death as 26 February) "last past," leaving a wife and several children, all infants under the age of 21 years; that the widow, Betsey BREMNER, departed for England last November and is expected to return in the month of May; that James C. F. BREMNER left no blood relations of full age in New Brunswick and no nearer connection than Your Petitioner who is a sister of the said Betsey BREMNER, his widow; that the petitioner resided in his house at the time of his death and prayed administration of the estate. On 16 April 1825 petitioner was authorized to take possession of assets of the estate until an executor or administrator be appointed.
