Abstract City of Saint John, St. John County, Merchant. Died at the City of New York on 11 October 1827 "about ten days subsequent to his leaving the City of Saint John," intestate. Administration granted 27 March 1828 to George WOODS. Fellow bondsmen William GILBERT, merchant, and John James AKERLEY, all of the City of Saint John. Petition of George WOODS stated deceased left a wife and two children in the City of New York, the eldest child being about seven years of age; that the brother of the deceased, residing at Saint John, has declined to act, and the creditors of the estate have declined to take out administration; that petitioner is a first cousin of the deceased and has been his agent at Fredericton.
