Résumé Parish of Dorchester, Westmorland County, Esquire. Will dated 15 January 1831, proved 22 November 1833. Son William 5 shillings. Daughter Mary, at present the wife of Enoch STILES, £300, the book debt against her to be deducted from the same. Daughter Ann, at present the wife of Jonas CUTLER, all the land occupied by her husband with 50 acres of woodland, being part of the lot bought from John RYE. Son John half the homestead upland now in his possession, of which he has a deed, and all of the marsh. Grandson Richard Chapman WELDON, now living with us, provided he remain and serve his uncle, my son Robert, until he arrives at age 21, land in Cumberland County, Nova Scotia. Son Robert residue of real and personal estate. Sons John and Robert CHAPMAN executors. Witnesses: A. W. McLEOD, Samuel HYSLOP, Mary Ann KILLAM. CODICIL dated 27 August 1831 orders that the road from the Kings High Road to the [Peat] Road be open and free for the use of John CHAPMAN and Jonas CUTLER and Ann his wife as well as for my son Robert. Witnesses: A. W. McLEOD, Levi BRUNDAGE, Samuel HYSLOP. CODICIL 2 dated 27 August 1831 describes land bequeathed to son John. Witnesses: A. W. McLEOD, Levi BRUNDAGE, Samuel HYSLOP. Thomas KEILLOR, Robert GODFREY and Ruben TAYLOR directed to appraise the estate.
