Parish of Prince William, York County, Widow of the late Jonah CLAY. Will dated 15 January 1820, proved prior to 5 April 1820. Maryan NEEDHAM, daughter of Mark NEEDHAM, Fredericton, all estate, House Lot 16, money owing from [Alexander] MERTON, 20 shillings due from Samuel ROCKWELL and 10 shillings due from James FOREMAN. Joannah WHITNEY "my Wearing Cloths" and household furnishing. Mrs. LAWRENCE my Hatchet and to Mr. LAWRENCE my Book and a pair of May sheep. John [DAVIS] my New Jacket. Isaac LAWRENCE executor. Witnesses: Jeptha Smith HUBBEL, William HUBBEL, Isaac LAWRENCE. On 5 April 1820 Isaac LAWRENCE petitioned the Court stating he had, as a neighbour of Mrs. CLAY, agreed to act as executor and, as instructed, delivered the cattle and property to Mr. NEEDHAM and the few articles to a Mrs. WHITNEY, who took care of Mrs. CLAY. He requested to be relieved of further executorship and that administration be granted to Mark NEEDHAM, whose daughter Ann was sole heir. Administration granted 28 March 1821 to Mark NEEDHAM with William ROBERTS fellow-bondsman, both of Fredericton.
