Wife Trintje all personal estate and all real estate except that occupied by son-in-law Thomas LAWTON and his wife. At wife's decease my dwelling house at corner of Prince William Street and the Market Square to daughters Frances, wife of Thomas LAWTON, and Mary CRANNELL, they paying my grandchildren Bartholemew and Catharine BEARDSLEY £200 when age 21. Mentions Thomas LAWTON is "under Contract for carrying on Merchandizing trafic(sic) and Trade in my Dwelling House upon my sole Stock and Capital," such trading to be closed at wife's decease and capital divided among the four legatees. Residue of real estate to be likewise divided. Thomas LAWTON, Frances LAWTON and Mary CRANNELL executors. Witnesses: Colin CAMPBELL, Edward SANDS, Moses WARD. CODICIL dated 13 May 1790 bequeaths £25 to the Rector, Church Wardens and Vestry of Trinity Church to be paid "when the Church shall be so forward as to accomodate the Congregation for Publick Worship and that the ornaments be fixed up which were presented by the Worthy Mr. William WHITLOCK."
