Parish of Springfield, Kings County. Will dated 4 February 1830, proved 8 July 1830. Wife Grace MARVEN one half of the farm and stock with the use of one half of the buildings during her widowhood. Son Josiah MARVEN the farm where I live with the stock. Son Silas Lane MARVEN the farm where he now lives. Son Samuel S. MARVIN(sic) a part of the farm he now lives on together with the land bought of John ROBINS on the condition that he give a deed of 100 acres of the front of the lot, abutting the grant to Revd. James SCOVIL and sons, to my two daughters Sary M. MARVIN and Elizer(sic) MARVIN. Son Philo MARVEN the farm he now lives on. Son Charles MARVEN £20. Sons Josiah MARVEN, Silas L. MARVEN, Samuel S. MARVEN and Philo MARVEN the land in the rear of the homestead lot granted to William HARDING and others. Sons Silas Lane MARVEN, Samuel Sturges MARVEN and Philo MARVEN each £20 to be paid by Josiah MARVEN. Daughters Sarah Mary MARVEN and Elizer MARVEN 100 acres of land bought of John PERKINS adjoining Samuel S. MARVEN unless my son Samuel S. MARVEN shall give them a good and sufficient Deed of the Land above mentioned. Wife Grace MARVEN all household goods and chattels. Wife Grace and son Josiah MARVEN executors. Witnesses: Edward [Y.] N. SCOVIL, Henry A. SCOVIL, Ramond(sic) HOYT. Inventory, filed 8 July 1830, valued at £2,894 by Samuel S. MARVEN and Seth S. BENSON.
