Résumé Parish of Sussex, Kings County. Will dated 17 August 1816, proved 20 February 1817. Bequeaths the whole of my property real and personal into the hands of my loving Wife and their kind mother during her life for her support and to help Richard and James ROACH as much as is in her power. Son Thomas £50 in seven years from my decease or sooner if he can have it in produce from the farm without injury to the family residing on the same. Richard and James to help him. Richard and James all estate after mother's decease. Daughter Mary £20 within seven years of my decease and a suit of mourning. To my two grandchildren, John ROACH and Edward PRICE, each £5 within ten years after my decease. Wife Mary ROACH, Richard and James ROACH executors. Witnesses: John McLEOD, John RING, J. G. LEONARD. Inventory, dated 13 February 1817, valued at about £300 by John INNIS and John BURGESS. File also contains documents relative to a claim against the estate by the grandson, John ROACH, in 1873, together with documents from Robert McLEOD, husband of Elisabeth ROACH, and Edward PRICE and the records of the court proceedings, all of which are outside the scope of this work.
